First off, I want to thank Sam for trying nothing less than 100% to get Texas back to national prominence. Sam truly loved playing for Texas and personifies but it means to be a true Longhorn, through and through, and will be missed. Wish nothing but the best for him in the NFL. Hook'em! There is no doubt Texas is better off today than when Herman took over at Texas. But Herman failed to make Texas relevant in the big12 and definitely not nationally. Based on where the program is now compared to 2016, the next coach should have no more than two years to prove themselves!
