Supposebly. I had this conversation the other day. "How do you spell supposebly?" "That's not even a real word, dumbass."
"Methinks thou doth protest too much" The part you loathe about that is "methinks"?! I would take 1,000 "methinks" over a single "doth." I mean, really. When can you use the word "doth" in a sentence other than this one? "Methinks thou art a dipsh**" "Methinks thou should shut your craphole" You see, "methinks" is quite versatile. You can't do crap with "doth." "Hey, stop it, you doth!" "If you doth that again, I'm going to stick my fist up your doth." It just doesn't work.
"Laxadaisical" makes me want to punch a Cub Scout. I'll accept "lax" or "lackadaisical," but the bastard offspring of the two is unacceptable. Also, beginning a sentence with "Meantime." "In the meantime" is appropriate usage, as is "Meanwhile." But, "Meantime" is the equivalent of "Irregardless." It helps us identify the inconspicuous morons among us.
