Went to the Armed Forces Bowl yesterday in Ft. Worth. Army vs Houston Army won 70-14
They did all the ceremonies very well. The 4 paratroopers , all vets, several Academy grads fought the wind and landed spot on. The helo fly over always is poignant whether at Amon Carter or DKR. They surprised a Dad by bringing his daughter home from Italy forChristmas and honored more than 150 Purple Heart recipients.
But the most incredible site was to see all 100 plus cadets lined up and holding the salute through our anthem.Contrast with the multi millionaire whiny NFL players. Not ONE of them has pledged to die for the right to kneel.

At the end of the game all the cadets went to the Houston sideline to honor the Cougs during their alma mater. During the alma mater of our Military Academy the Houston band played and yelled.
I remembered the comment by a sportswriter IIRC when Houston played in the Cotton Bowl . He wrote it seemed to him that half of the Houston fans were eating at 7-11 and the other half were robbing them.
I of course was sorry Major got so shellacked.
