the funniest thing about this thread is those who think the world is already overpopulated... cracks me up!
Part of anything doesn't constitute the whole. Lower population is good in the long term, as long as it doesn't decline any further. Once it becomes a survival issue, I think society will find ways to create kids, probably was wards of the society itself. The problem is the next 50 years, when we will have a huge elderly population that would need to be supported by fewer working population.
