    Strangely, McKinsey Consulting just released their vision for urban life in 2100 and it is pretty much a polar opposite forecast of what is being discussed here.

    Part of anything doesn't constitute the whole.

    Lower population is good in the long term, as long as it doesn't decline any further. Once it becomes a survival issue, I think society will find ways to create kids, probably was wards of the society itself. The problem is the next 50 years, when we will have a huge elderly population that would need to be supported by fewer working population.

    I have a question for those of you who think more population growth is a bad thing:

    How many kids to you have?

    IF 2 or less, then keep on preaching
    IF 3 or more, then stop throwing stones in a glass house
