The desire to have Obama apologize to the stupid police officer being formally codified as a resolution in Congress being pushed , by Rep. Thaddeus McCotter (R) Michigan. It's mind boggling to me the political correctness to which the GOP wants to hold the President of the United States. Guess when you aren't too concenred about health care legislation you gotta find something to do. The Republican Representative wants congress to waste time on this by having hearing, having a markup on the bill and THIS is the area in which the powers of the President must be reigned in by Congress. After 8 years of Bush it's clearly laughable as hell. The fact the GOP wants to force political correctness in this manner is hilarious. That the guy is serious about it is hilarious.
i don't think it is so much political correctness, but many Republicans crave victimhood. They are constantly getting offended. They tend to be very sensitive about any little thing. Thomas Frank of the WSJ The Link And although the piece is about Sarah Palin, the title says it all about the current state of the Republican Party: 'The GOP embraces the culture of victimhood."
Ignorant resolution but if it slows down the Socialist Steamroller then it is surving some beneficial purpose.
