Wow. It was readily apparent that Perkins had it in for Mangino last week with the stuff that came out, but this makes Perkins look as bad as Mangino. I wonder if a massive top-down housecleaning at KU is in store, with the exception of Bill Self. I'm not sure how the program will retain any credibility otherwise. I have a feeling the lawyers will be busy on this one for a long time.

i wonder how many institutions have a feud like this between a coach in any given sport and the AD. i know that leach and the tech AD dont get along. i was in lubbock for a conference a couple of weeks ago, and a few of the tech fans that i talked to swore up and down that the AD moved the game against texas up in the season to punish leach for shopping himself around to other schools during the off season. interesting article.

I could be wrong but I think Mangino's contract is guaranteed. They can only avoid paying him if they find "just cause" to terminate. This could be the reason for all the dirt coming out at this time.
