All gas only works if you have enough gasoline. This team obviously did not so they coasted to a stop. What are the odds - that's the same thing that happens when one breaks. You stop!

Slogans don't mean ****. Another thing I am sick of these coaches talking about is "culture change." One after another has used that a mantra, and after a while it just starts to sound like an excuse. "Your team blew it, again coach. How do yo explain it?" "well, Culture change takes time" Blah bla blah In other words, its not my fault. Its the previous guy's fault, and the duds he left me. They talk about it like its some kind of magical concoction of the right slogans, pee charts, t-shirts, injury pits etc etc etc Its all ********. Culture will create itself if you have success. Alabama doesn't have some special "culture" that propels them to win. Winning is their culture, and their culture is winning, plain and simple. The next hire we make, if they mention culture change one time in the interview they need to get sent packing. Instead, I'd like to us how you intend to win as many games as you can NOW with the guys you have.

Agree on so much of the above posts. Slogans are generally silly, jingoistic, and stink of contrived organizational bullsh!t. True in sports and other endeavors.
