For 40+ years it's been an issue that a kick can pass directly over the uprights, neither inside nor outside, in such a way where it's impossible to tell which way it "would" have bounced. Long past time football found a way to prevent this ambiguity from happening.
there should be a death star laser eminating from the top of each goal post. if the ball touches the laser, it explodes immediately and the kick is no good. /andres cantor no gooooooooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaallllll
They could also just box it in at the top, more like a soccer goal. This would make high kicks potentially missable, but it would make it more interesting and youd never have to worry about whether it was in or out.
