Wow Okie State WR just dropped a perfectly thrown bomb that may have gone for an 80+ yd touchdown.

Iowa State leads Ok State 40-35

And ISU score a long TD pass just as I typed that

    Should be 47-35 after PAT

Looks like another top 10 team is going to lose. Florida just intercepted and took it to the house. 27 - 19 Florida with less than 2 minutes left.

Florida dude should have stopped short so they could have run out the clock, now LSU still has a slight chance.

Becoming very interesting. First time in several years I am interested in ranking again.

I guess it won't matter that Florida won. They are just going to swap Florida to #5 and move LSU to #6 since they are SEC good.

Big wasted timeout by Florida State there. If Miami converts they might be able to run the game out without scoring.

Baylor beat K State. Can’t sleep on Baylor next week. They are much much better this year.

What is up with Auburn offense, they are losing to Miss St, that’s bad

Stanford melting down early. Utah is up 21-0 in Palo Alto. QB has thrown two picks on two really awful throws, and the defense is getting gashed and overpowered.

A few ranked programs being exposed today

    OU
    Stanford
    LSU
    Kentucky
    Auburn
    Ok State

Do we belong in the top 10 this week?

Washington beats 0-5 UCLA in LA by 7, 31-24.

With the losses by LSU, OU, and Auburn, Washington could end up moving to #7 this week. But they’re really mediocre, barely beating the likes of Arizona State by 7 in Seattle. And they lost to Auburn, who absorbed their second loss today with the loss at Mississippi State. I think they’ll lose to Oregon next week.

Texas belongs in the Top 10 as much as Washington does. So says HornDawg, so much a fan of both programs he based his username on them.

Stanford exposed at Oregon. The Ducks gave that huge lead away on a high snap inside the 5 for a defensive TD. Stanford is in the top 20 teams in college football.

Stanford is playing without Bryce Love, to be fair, but they are making a lot of mistakes unrelated to his absence as well.

Ok State was already below us and already had a 24 point home loss anyway.

We're at least borderline top 10, I think, as we have 3 quality wins, and many teams still cannot say they have more than 1 (look at Penn State for one example).

Here is the problem for Texas and the rankings (don't be fooled - the BCS Committee looks and uses the rankings):

    - Alabama, Georgia and tOSU 1, 2, 3
    - Sons of Klem in danger to go down to 5 as the Domers looking better a racing's ratings
inherent bias in favor of ND overcomes Sons of Klem
    - LSU will drop, but not out of the top 15 (maybe not out of the top 10 - $EC
    bias)
-Florida will move up into the top 15 (see LSU)
    - ou will drop, but not out of the top 15
-Texas will move up to the top 15, but lower than ou
    - Auburn (see LSU)
    - Mississippi aggy will move into the top 20 (see LSU)
    - Kentucky will still be ranked (see LSU)
    - aggy will be ranked and will be ranked closer to Texas than they deserve
(see LSU and the fact that they have played Alabama and the Sons of Klem)
    - Stanford will drop to 20-25

So, Texas will move up, but not as far as they should by pure play on the field. The $EC does not sort itself out on the field so the BCS Committee has to do it, but they will not do justice to any non-$EC team or ND. The real questions/facts:

    - Will Texas be above or below ou in the polls
    - ND is in the final 4 if they win out (replacing the Sons of Klem)
    - tOSU has to blow out the remainder of their games to hold onto the 4th spot as -
    - Alabama is in regardless of their record
    - Georgia is in if they can beat Auburn and Alabama
    - LSU is in if they beat Alabama

So any $EC team that beats Alabama is in.

If I caught the blurb correctly, the ISU QB had never thrown a pass before in a game at the college level...if true, then at least there are other programs besides Texas that make wet-behind-the-ears players seem all-world.

For Texas to make the playoffs, they are going to need some help, probably a lot of help.

First off, Texas has to go undefeated the rest of the way. WVU has to come to Austin undefeated ranked in the top 10 and Texas has to beat them convincingly. Then one of WVU and Oklahoma has to come out with only one loss and Texas has to beat them in a re-match to win the Big 12. That is Texas taking care of it's business.

Here is where the help has to come. Assuming Bama is going undefeated. They are in. Assuming Georgia has only one loss to bama they are in.

PAC should not be mentioned at all, they are just terrible all around.
Notre Dame needs to lose one game, it would be most advantageous if that one loss was to USC.
Ohio State and/or Clemson need to suffer a loss

A huge game for Texas will be Ohio State vs Maryland. That more than anything else will determine Texas fate. A good showing from Maryland will help Texas cause, a win by Maryland and Texas is as good as in.

A more likely scenerio is Clemson keeps playing uninspired football and suffers a late season loss.

I just don't see OSU or Clemson losing, their scheduled from here on out are just to easy. PSU was OSU's best chance but PSU decided on a 4th down call that was the worst in football history, and people complain about Beck.

Georgia has 3 tough games and Bama 2. I wouldn't be surprised if Georgia loses, but ND has to lose too. But we have a monumental task ahead of us to think about that anyway, will take a whole whole lot of luck. We play down to the competition too much and will blow one in the 4th qtr against a lesser team even if we beat the big boys.
