Here is the problem for Texas and the rankings (don't be fooled - the BCS Committee looks and uses the rankings):
- Alabama, Georgia and tOSU 1, 2, 3
- Sons of Klem in danger to go down to 5 as the Domers looking better and the
ratings inherent bias in favor of ND overcomes Sons of Klem
- LSU will drop, but not out of the top 15 (maybe not out of the top 10 - $EC
bias)
-Florida will move up into the top 15 (see LSU)
- ou will drop, but not out of the top 15
-Texas will move up to the top 15, but lower than ou
- Auburn (see LSU)
- Mississippi aggy will move into the top 20 (see LSU)
- Kentucky will still be ranked (see LSU)
- aggy will be ranked and will be ranked closer to Texas than they deserve
(see LSU and the fact that they have played Alabama and the Sons of Klem)
- Stanford will drop to 20-25
So, Texas will move up, but not as far as they should by pure play on the field. The $EC does not sort itself out on the field so the BCS Committee has to do it, but they will not do justice to any non-$EC team or ND. The real questions/facts:
- Will Texas be above or below ou in the polls
- ND is in the final 4 if they win out (replacing the Sons of Klem)
- tOSU has to blow out the remainder of their games to hold onto the 4th spot as -
- Alabama is in regardless of their record
- Georgia is in if they can beat Auburn and Alabama
- LSU is in if they beat Alabama
So any $EC team that beats Alabama is in.
