What is disturbing is how many do look at those rappers and vids and see them as cool.

In the interest of being non judgemental I was trying to understand the words.
Apparently ALL rap songs have to reference drugs, money from drugs guns and shooting
And if course the n word used as many times as possuble

 

You forgot hoes or some other derogatory term for women.

 

Whoa, what would happen if the EOT was inserted into a rap song? Exploding heads?

 

As opposed to:

• "Purple haze all in my brain"
• "Last dance with Mary Jane"
• "If you want to hang out, you've gotta take her out, cocaine"
• "I shot a man in Reno just to watch him die"
• "Just killed a man, put a gun against his head, pulled my trigger, now he's dead"

This thread took an unfortunate turn because arguably our best QB commit in 20 years quoted offensive rap lyrics.

Tell me you like to alienate 18-year-olds without telling me you like to alienate 18-year-olds.

Maybe you can give examples of rap songs that don't list any of the elements I listed above.
From my "high horse" I couldn't find any but I could find millions and millions of pop songs that don't mention drugs or guns or denigrate women.

 

If Card is starting, our OL had better improve by leaps and bounds over last year. Card's got a good arm, but he really needs time to throw.

This was a really funny article I read not too long ago, interviewing the players involved. Most all of them were pretty embarrassed to have let it happen.

Can we simply agree that popular music has always been about sex and drugs? Hell, the term "rock and roll" is a euphemism for sex. So is "jazz", for that matter. This goes way back. It's nothing new.

 

So you admit IF you could find rap without the elements they would be exceptions.
I guess that means you couldn't find any
You would also then have to admit the songs you listed were exceptions.
And if you were being fair those were very few exceptions to millions and millions to all the other pop songs as opposed to the preponderance of rap with those elements

Now back to when Ewers might be THE QB. I hope they let him come long at his pace
