Wow! You guys aren't going to believe this! So Mrs. Deez spoke to her supervisor today, and we've been offered a chance to relocate to the UK. I know that sounds too coincidental to be true, but it is. No ****. We haven't decided yet whether to go, but it sure is an interesting omen. It's almost as though it's "meant to be."
You could get a job there as an English teacher They need the help I'm tired of having to put on the CC for brit shows
Thanks! It's going to take a lot of thought and prayer on this. There are some downsides, and we're not taking Deez, Jr. out of his school mid-year. It's not right to do that to a kindergartener if it isn't truly necessary, so if they really want her to go, they'll have to wait a few months (which I think they're willing to do). It's not a promotion. She'd be doing the same job, but they need somebody who's dedicated exclusively to the UK, and they don't want a newbie up there on her own. We'll see. After Brexit, it'll be an expensive pain in the *** to get good German beer, and that's going to be a tough sell for me. Lol
Honestly I do the same thing. Lol. What I might do is look into what it would take to get licensed there. It's not particularly hard here, but obviously nobody wants someone who isn't fluent in German representing him in a German court. In the UK, I wouldn't be at as big of a disadvantage.
If anyone wants to watch the big Brexit rally in Parliament Square, it's being live streamed on Youtube. Some funny stuff.
I don't think she means the Irish don't speak english, but I could be wrong since the English barely speak english
let's see what you say about it after 6 months ps - I have relatives on the NE Coast almost due east of you (Great Yarmouth), been there a few times to visit them
Mrs. Deez wants to do it. I think she's sick of Germans. They're far less personable than the Brits are. In addition, though I picked up quite a bit of Deutsch, she didn't. I think she's ready to be done with that.
