Hoopgurls has come up with their updated rankings after the summer tournaments.

With so many ranked players yet to commit (most have at least narrowed their list of schools they are interested in), it's no wonder there is so much speculation about which school they will choose to go to. 1 of the top 10 has given a verbal (Griner to Baylor); 2 of the top 15, 5 of the top 20 and 8 of the top 30 have verballed. That leaves a lot of recruits for fans to wonder about where they will be going to school.

Off the top of my head, Texas is on the lists of at least four of the top 10.

Lauren Flores, our 2009 verbal, is ranked at 53th overall and the #6 PG. [IMG]

Yikes, Baylor has 3 top 100 verbals, besides Griner. I knew there was 1 other, but didn't realize there were 3.

Baylor has a stong class. If they sign one more they will almost assuredly have the number 1 ranked class. We REALLY need to sign Bone and at least one other top recruit.

We don't necessarily need Bone as much as we need at least one, preferably two from Kelsey Bone, Cokie Reed, Nikki Greene, Monique Oliver and Joslyn Tinkle. Maybe the staff has other gems we don't know about.

With only five posts/forwards on the roster and three of them seniors, getting at least two post/PF players for 2009 is very important. Otherwise, the Horns are going to be very small overall and very thin in the frontcourt. Of course, Earnie could return for her RS year, but 5 and 4 positions would still be thin.

There will be plenty of PT for the 2009 post/F freshmen.
