Actually, the UTEP Miners' fight song is a sped up version of Marty Robbins' "El Paso" that they received his permission for when still alive. The Link Also, a bit of trivia, I believe UTEP is the only University of Texas System component that the Horns have played in football. The College of Mines (later UTEP), 1930 and 1933, good guys winning both.
