The players were in town to attend Cali Aly's wedding. Sure was great to see them back home again in Gregory Gym
The TV announcer said the Ashley Engle retired from playing professionally. I really thought if she didn't make it professionally indoors that she would have a stellar beach career. Who knows... maybe we'll be seeing her on the side lines as an assistant some day?!?
As a longtime fan of Ashley's game and competitive fire, I'm disappointed to hear she is retiring. Like the prior poster, I always thought she had a fantastic all-around game and would have thrived on the beach. Before the match, they were doing an on-camera interview outside Gregory. Hopefully we'll see something posted on texassports.com and learn more.
