"By now you should have received your written note regarding your vehicle warranty expiring. This call is to give you a final opportunity to extend coverage before it is too late. Press '1' now to speak to a warranty specialist regarding your options on your vehicle."

It looks like their companies are only facing civil charges at this time. I hope they all go to jail. Forever.

Good, I'm sick of getting those. Fortunately I used to work for a manufacturer, so I always knew they were fraudulent, but it's easy to see where people simply would not know any better. Of course, I'm of the opinion that the entire aftermarket warranty industry is the biggest bunch of crooks and thieves outside of Washington, but I may be a little biased on that.

    OHNOES!!!!

I LOVE those guys! I was getting two or three of these a day at my office.

Whenever I had the time, I would screw with them unmercifully. One time, I kept putting this guy on hold and coming back, asking a question, and then putting him back on hold. I had him going for a half hour or more.

Finally I grew tired of the game and started chewing him out for being a part of a scam operation. I told him he should get a respectable job like shoeshine or used car dealer. I made him cry.

Another time I told this girl I drove a 2004 Olds Mustang. We went round and round. (I didn't get the warranty though.)

The best thing you can do with these guys is keep them on the phone as long as possible. 1) They make fewer calls, and 2) It's great fun!

    Darn IRC
because of you I get automated calls. I can't mess with them
You took the fun out of it

I am glad this will stop. For people who don't realize this is the Nigerian Prince of auto warranties it was costly

I know a girl that would have fallen for this had she not had to sell her car last year...
