Costa Rica had a military president, Pepe Figueres, who disbanded the army, set up schools and hospitals and a social security system and the Ticos got 75 years and counting of peace and prosperity. Venezuela got a military president and is headed for decades of ruinous economics and political fratricide. The road to hell is paved with good intentions by people like Chavez, whose heart was in the right place but whose brain was up his anal canal. This man's rule was a disaster for his country and his death will be the final nail in Cuba's commie coffin.
