I'm looking for a webhost quickly. Any ideas for me? Looking to spend under $20 a month, not planning on needing a killer amount of bandwidth, but will need something quick and reliable. I'll hang up and listen.
At this point, the larger hosts are exceedingly cheap and reliable. Several years ago, before the big guys matured their IT and got their **** together, hosting was a crap shoot. Now it's pretty straightforward. GoDaddy is good. So is Lunarpages. I'd also add 1and1. Guaranteeing "quick" is a bit more tricky. You can't do that with a shared server or VPS. You'll really need to spent $100 or more that.
Bluehost is great. You can get a customer service rep on the phone in a second, which is a plus in my book.
