Week 12 Prediction Thread: Texas vs. Baylor...8-4 is Better Than 5-7

We can finish the regular season 8-4 and it is a lot better than last year where we finished 5-7. I think we have shown improvement and unlike last year we were in every game this year and could have easily been 12-0. Let's finish strong and move on to next year.

 

To me this comes down to whether or not, when Baylor and Aranda take away the run and make us one dimensional, Sark is smart enough and Ewers is proficient enough to “take what they are giving us.” I’m not worried about our Defense. But until I see the aforementioned individuals step up and break recent trends, I just cannot pick Texas.

I really get what you're saying^^^. Aranda is a good coach. Baylor's Defense will be well prepared, physical and balls to the wall. They could certainly win. I predicted 8-4 in August and I'm going with it. I think the Defense is going to keep us in the game no matter what. They are really playing well, and Patterson has hated Baylor long before he joined the Horns' staff.

We won't need a lot of points to win, imo.

I think Baylor's juice will be somewhat flat after last week's devastating loss to TCU. I think final home game for many players, a good weather day, we will prevail. I do agree Baylor will stack the LOS to make us win via the pass.

I think I picked us to go 8-4 with losses to Bama, OU, KSU and OSU. I guess we won two I didn't think we'd win and lost two I didn't think we'd lose. Damn shame. We didn't take advantage of a sub par OU season.

It's now becoming very clear - the Texas defense is real! The improvement in the defense has been a large factor in the overall improvement this season. I expect the Texas defense to exert itself this week. The Baylor defense will play well, but they will wear down late. Longhorns end the regular season on an upbeat.

Well, this going to be some week. Will the Bears bounce back like the Horns against a loss to TCU or do they suffer the short week and come out flat. Not a trap game, but I have my doubts that this will be close.

We just played a complete game of football. So we’re not due for another one of those until the bowl game.
If the defense has a good day, the offense will have a **** day and vice versa,
If we play well in the first half, we **** the bed in the second half. And vice versa.
Either way it won’t be good enough to beat mighty Baylor (how the f**k did we get here) And we lose another close one and we’ll have to talk about how close we are again.

Texas is hard to figure out this year.
Patterson and the D are great. Bijan amazing. O line much improved. QE weak. Baylor flat.
