A new generation will get the experience of this in state rivalry. Fans of both sides who are new to the sport may wonder what the fans are like from the other side. Here is a short clip of A&M fans asking about Longhorn fans since we are from the same state.

Aggy defense not good. Aggy offense doesn’t match well against our defense. 38-17 Horns.

This is the kind of game where momentum can swing quickly
We really need to protect the ball and give Quinn time to see the field
I think our defense will be nasty, need to pound Reed early and hard

Horns 34
ags 24

I'm sitting this pick out. Just too many "if" factors that will swing this game one way or another. For sure we need to play our most complete game of the year.

I hate the emotional matchup on this one, as we will just not match the aggies initial intensity. I think we are the better team, though.

This one will be ugly.

Horns 33
Aggies 27

aggy is 20 in the AP poll
19 in the coaches poll.
So when we beat their a$$ we will beat another ranked team. :hookem2:

Mighty Quinn ~ 27

collie station ags ~ 21

And I hope I am wrong and whip their sheep loving behinds

There honestly is no better home field advantage than aggyland when they are playing Texas it is beyond insane how aggy gets up for this game. Even with a 12 year hiatus I expect the same crazed intensity and honestly that is worth about ten points. It will come down to turnovers and whether the Texas offense decides to play a complete game or fart around for a quarter, a half, or however long.

I see a defensive struggle and something like:

Texas 21
Aggy 17

I want to believe in our defense. I am trying not to over-react to their freshman QB like I did over OU's. When I hear they are a dual threat QB, it gives me visions of 3rd down scrambles, preventing us from getting our defense off the field. I watched the aggy game versus Auburn a bit, and he had a strong arm (too much mustard though at times) and he was very slippery. It's going to be incumbent on our defense to show up and play to their capabilities as I think the aggy d-line will show up and attack our virtually immobile QB.

All that being said, I'm going with this:

The good guys - 28
The lunatics - 24

My concern is that Texas has lapses like Dallas yesterday when they gave up an 86yd pass late...

Sark should show that game as a way of instilling how quickly things can turn. Followed by the clip of Stroud's safety that effectively cost the Texans...

FOCUSNESS!!!

Circa opened the game as Texas -5 with an over/under at 51.5. I'm still cogitating on score...but I see this one going over with a backdoor cover late. 'Important to some' as the programmers say...

I'm really nervous about this one. The aggies have been foaming at the mouth for the past 13 years waiting to play us. Just like if their dog Reveille got rabies or something. Every single game, whether it be football or any other sport, and no matter who they are playing, they lock arms, sway back and forth, and sing songs about sawing Varsity's horns off while saying "Good-bye to Texas university, so long to the orange and the white." Even if they are playing Vanderbilt, they are singing and thinking about us. We are in their mind, their psyche. Every Aggie thinks about how much they dislike us at least once a day. Most of them dwell on it for long stretches during the day. They can't stop focusing on us. Even when we were in different conferences and never played them, they could only think of us. We are their one focus. We give them a reason for existence, and the chance to play us one more time, especially in football, gives them meaning and purpose in life. They will put all their efforts, their whole spirit and their whole being for the past 13 years into this one game.

That being said, I still think we win:

Texas - 28
Texas A&M - 21

I would love for the Horns to get out front quick and remind aggy of what they really are this year. You don't have to dig too deep into texags to see that they know they suck. Let them stick around and that crowd build momentum, then we're in trouble.

Beat their butts and make the SEC CG in year one. Give them another reason to hate us.

Horns 37
aggy 13

Agroids’ emotional intensity in the first half will make Georgia look like child’s play. I hope Sark can turn their over the top fanaticism against them with play calls that lead to Aggie confusion and mistakes.
My second wish is that Blue has a come to Jesus meeting with the running backs coach and holds on to the damm ball.

If the Horns win the turnover battle, the Horns win the game. I think they will.

Horns 34
A/m. 20

Tickle Me Elko still in year one

Auburn loss lingers over aggy like bad hangover

Defense/crowd keep aggy respectable in first half on pipe dreams of an SEC championship appearance.

Texas depth on both sides of the ball wears down aggy to reality that they just lost to a 5-6 Auburn team that is the third worst in the SEC while giving up 43 points.

Aggy offense is a Marcel Reed one-trick pony v. Texas No. 2 FBS Total Defense. Aggy average RBs and average WRs can't prevent a salty Texas Defense from logging 4 sacks and scooping up 2 fumbles/INTs. Anthony Hill will be a mercenary.

Aggy No. 56 FBS Total Defense can't stop Texas No. 18 FBS Total offense for four quarters. Ewers will roll with Helm as his main target, while spreading the passes around to a stable of receivers. Blue and Wisner do yeoman's work on the ground to give Texas offensive balance.

Aggy has not faced a defense like Texas.

Texas pulls away in the second half for a 30 - 20 win. :hookem:
