Week 13 Prediction Thread: Texas at Texas A&M...A Rivalry Renewed But One Sided.

Crap, would haves loved to hear Q’s ankle is 90% or better. Sark is going to have a tough call. I’m ready and anxious for Manning magic but not till next year. I might be in minority but I think a healthy Q gives us our best chance against these maniacs. My head tells me the fanaticism aggies will bring is more than we can handle but I refuse to predict against my boys so I’m not making a prediction this game.
Hookem
Aggies secondary gets gouged deep. If we can protect, I think Arch offers us a lot in the passing game for this one.

Trying to predict the final score of this game is turning me into a schizophrenic. On the one hand, I see us obliterating the ags. I also see a close game and of course, my biggest fear, is we lose. None of those three outcomes will shock me. I really don't think this will be the final score but it's what I hope for, so:

Texas 35
Ags 13

^^^ yeah, my thoughts and emotions about this game vary daily this week.

Lot of variables. It's especially hard to fully handicap this game with the uncertain status of Ewers ankle.

I think the Defense will really get after aggy and assuming Reed is QB, he is very mobile - gotta keep him in the box as much as possible. Make him throw to beat us.

OL must impose their will and Horns must establish the run game, period. Our Receivers are better than aggy DB's but Ewers / Manning must have time to get the ball to them.

Like most epic games, this will come down to 3-5 critical plays and turnovers. I think the Horns D gets 2 turnovers that may be the difference.

Avoid turnovers and win the kicking game. Texas defense will hold them to 10 points or less if the Horns do that and we can certainly score double digits.

Texas 20
Aggy 17

I have no idea but my assumption is Quinn won't be fully healthy, Sark will refuse to take him out, but we still grind it out because the defense holds them in check most of the game.

Quinn will not be 100% tomorrow. I wonder if Sark will still start him anyway?

I, too, have mixed feelings about this game. Ideally, Texas crushes the aggy from start to finish and the score is Texas eleventy-billion to the aggy negative 4.

On the other hand, it would inflict maximum psychological damage on the aggy if they at some point have a realistic hope that they will win.

So, I want Texas to come out strong and take the lead. Then, the aggy stages a comeback and when there is less than a minute left in the game, the aggy scores and makes the two point conversion to go ahead -- Texas 31, the aggy 32.

Bolden fields the kickoff in the end zone and takes it all the way back for a touchdown. Texas tacks on a two point conversion for a Texas 38, the aggys 31 final score.

Aggy fans cry, the players cry, Elko cries. The whole damn hellhole of a town goes into mourning, while the Texas players and the Texas fans that are present are lifted up in the Rapture

First of all, **** 247 and whomever is the irresponsible pieces of **** that reported that. Hope I never meet them, but if I should, I certainly hope I have a redhot poker in my hand. Secondly, if I do, I hope someone is able to resurrect Percy Forman for my defense. I hope CDC bans them from all facilities.

Secondly, my apologies to 1sa; I told the trainers to go buy the poke leaves from him.

Talked with a few ags at Thanksgiving (cousins-in-law). None of them felt confident about the game. Makes me think if Texas grabs an early lead, it will quiet the crowd real good.

I found it to be ironic, personally.

You should have known me in JR. High. How often my big mouth got me in trouble! Not bad, just not what the rules were.

Here, I'm often ironic, sarcastic, but what I think somewhat controlled what my other voice wants to say...

For example I limit my serious thoughts / concerns / opinions on Q for various reasons here!!!

Me thinks most honest aggys are are far more worried they win this game than us.

Auburn LOSS physically wore them out. We got them at at a good time. But due to this EPIC game they will give us an extraordinary effort to win.

And Only because they lost the last game. We can not forget these cowards tucked tail and ran. If they had won that last outing they would have never wanted any part of UT again so they could claim eternal scoreboard,
But alas we kicked them in their *** as they retreated.
So yeah they finally get to have their “do-over” game. Let’s remind them why they fled like little bitchez in the first place.
If by joining the SEC A&M "tucked tail", what was it when UT joined the SEC?

Also, "do-over" game? WTF? If A&M wanted a "do-over" game it would have agreed to the home-and-home CDC offered in 2018.

Don't forget, A&M requested to continue the series as non-conference foes. Dodds said no. I suppose he thought not getting to play UT would be some sort of punishment. UT changed its mind about that after a few years of underwhelming attendance for the much anticipated meetings with Tech and TCU. I distinctly remember Tom Herman noting
“We've got some really smart people in both administrations. We could find a way to make that game happen,” Herman said. “I think it would be great for Texas fans. We don't play a historic rival at home anymore, ever. We've got to drive to Dallas to play our lone remaining historic rival.”

Talk about a slap in the face to Baylor, Tech, TCU, etc.! I mean y'all have a trophy for the Tech game!

Sorry for the thread derail but I don't have privies to start a thread on this site.
