    HAHAHAHAHAAAAA.

Fat Cholly not only bit on the "when did you quit beating your wife?" bait, but he swallowed it hook, line and sinker, then consumed the fishing pole.

    Whatta dumbass.

I guess Charlie is trying to make sure every last bridge in college football is burnt to the ground.

Weis is obviously jealous of Pete. Even if true, a guy does not rat out another guy. Girls do this. Not men.

    1) charlie has issued an apology, saying he was "taken out of context"

    2) Pete is wealthy, handsome, successful, and in Los Angeles. He could be getting some serious hot women if he were so compelled. Pete could be banging Lindsay Lohan/Jenna Jameson/Jennifer Aniston if he wanted. Grad students? I doubt it.

Weiss is a Belichek guy. You gotta remember Carroll was fired at New England and Belichek was hired. So, I imagine there is some element of rivalry beyond Notre Dame and USC

There's big controversy about this amongst domers. Weis was giving a farewell interview to a variety of publications, and spoke pretty candidly about what he sucked up in his five years. He, in particular, was steamed about the 60 Minutes spot on him a few years ago, especially in comparison to way that 60 Minutes fellated Carroll a couple years later. As example to the disparate treatment that he gets from national press, Weis said to the group of reporters -- explicitly off the record -- that it was ridiculous that everyone in football knows about Carroll's grad school relationship but doesn't report it. Weis thinks that the level of scrutiny on him would never let him get away with such a thing. (Not that any woman would ever sleep with Weis.)

Anyway, all of the other reporters there didn't print anything about the Carroll relationship, but the Irish Illustrated senior editor, Tim Prister, did. Weis made it clear that the topic was off the record. Prister going ahead with it was hugely out of bounds (and has since been taken off his website) and is a big pariah to ND fans. It just serves to put more cold water on the ND coach search ... the level of expectations and BS that go along with that job could chase off any reasonable coach.
