Over the last few days, leading up to this game, the kool-aid starting wearing off.
I began to remember the last 3 games under Strong.
I was excited to see what Orlando did with the defense but had no clue how Beck would call offense and Herman had yet to coach a game at UT.

    Pretty much disappointed all around.
    We were not physical.
    We didn't "come out swinging".
    Fourteen running plays?
Warren should have been grinding those Terps down.
I was not impressed with play calling or gameplan.
On either side of the ball, pretty much.

Over a hundred yards in penalties, many at key moments.

    I expected more.
    We should win next week.
    USC may slaughter us.

I drink the damn kool aid every year. And I'm pretty pragmatic in the rest of life, my wife even claims I'm pessimistic. I tell her that's okay, pessimists are never disappointed. When it comes to my Longhorns though, I'm eternally optimistic, to a fault. If Tom Herman steps to the mike on Monday and says, "We just have to play better" or "It scares you to death," I will throw up all over my living room.

No they won't. We'll be ready, we'll compete.

    W. Michigan is still beating them 21-14 so maybe....

Well, USC is losing 21-14 to Western Michigan in the 3rd Quarter. Hopefully, we can compete as well as they can.

It is questionable if we could beat Western Michigan.

I think I saw Mrs. Bob Stoops house shopping in Westlake just now. Can it be?

Boy, she's hot too. She's a Mary Kay National Sales Director.

Why would she be in Austin today? I'm sure it's a coincidence

Hope is an optimistic attitude of mind that is based on an expectation of positive outcomes related to events and circumstances in one's life or the world at large.

    My spark was dampened today.

Damn, they looked like a team that just played their first game of the season under a brand new coaching staff. Hopefully as the season goes they will toughen up and learn how to win friggin games. It seems to me this team is just weak mentally.
