It’s a big one today when we face off against the nationally-ranked West Virginia Mountaineers on the road. Tight D on WV guard Miles McBride will be a key. If we stick to what we’re good at—defense, hitting the boards hard—and we have some decent outside shooting (not ice cold), we’ll win.
Culver is a beast. Equal to our big guys. Sherman is shooting lights out despite generally being well guarded. Tough to stop that.
Jones keeping Horns in the game. When someone else makes a three we might begin to open up a lead. Jump shooting was pretty cold in the first half.
Culver is big and strong. His weakness is conditioning. He looked very winded in some close ups. He’s a fair amount heavier than our big guys. Maybe we should press more when he’s in there and run him.
Ramey fouled the 3 point shooter who promptly sunk all 3. Our mistakes and sloppiness are killing us. I’m thinking wvu is just better prepared for this game. They are in our guys grill big time.
