Just curious, do Longhorn fans living on the east coast travel to this game every other year. I don't remember seeing many on TV before. Maybe they are averse to going into that state.

DB Josh Thompson (foot) is out for a “significant” amount of time - probably entire season

LB Marcus Tillman done for the season. 3rd-degree MCL sprain

CB Jalen Green is out 4 weeks with dislocated shoulder. Will miss WVU, ou, through Kansas, at a minimum

S Caden Sterns will be out 4 weeks (sounds like a knee ligament). Will miss WVU, ou, through Kansas, at a minimum

Jamison and Boyce are the starting CBs until Green gets back. Anthony Cook is "in a slump."

BJ Foster/DeMarvion Overshown might be back by WVU. We have to wait and see
For now, Montrell Estell and Chris Brown are starters at safety, with Jones at nickel.
When Foster gets back, he is the Joker (in the dime)

Fromm is a journeyman QB at best. He's no Heisman caliber player. At some point the numbers will start to matter. Right now it's just who they thought at the 1st of the year.

Remember that the trophy has, unfortunately, come to symbolize gaudy stats backed by media whoring. After all, even Josh Heupel was a Heisman runner-up...talk about not-even-journeyman players...

It is Tagovailoa's to lose unless Alabama loses 2 games due to his poor play. Fromm was exposed in last year's Sugar Bowl and never should have been on the list. Sam is being held responsible for the LSU loss which will be the "official" reason he will not win even if Texas were to go on to win the CFP. Burrow will be eliminated after the Alabama defense tears him a new one. Hurts is the wild card with an ace in the hole - Riley's reputation. Texas needs to put an end to that nonsense on 12 October with reinforcement on 01 December.

I would prefer that Texas & OU make an agreement to not show up at Jerry World, and send Bowelsby packing

Where is Dr Boren when we need leadership?

The Championship Game has always been useless and is made more useless every time ND gets into the playoff.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

Was hoping for evening kick vs. 'neers.

My chief concern is all the injuries right now.

And give those hillbilly fans more time at the still before kickoff?

WRONG! They will spend that time collecting extra sofas for after the game.

Kick time is meaningless. Those sumbitches will start hitting the moonshine the night before the kick and not let up until Sunday morning!!

Morgantown once had more bars per capita than any place in the US.... not sure if they still have that honor. Was there once in the 70's, it was a hell hole.

Yes, my mistake. Well, I like seeing the game earlier. I'm selfish though.

Injury plague has hit our secondary hard this season. The O needs to score early and often.

Not so fast... Everyone said that last year.

If Ehlinger continues his “Heisman calibur” play AND if he finishes strong, I.e. CCG, I do like his chances.

I would agree with you DS IF Texas was in the $EC or Riley was the Texas coach. The biases in the Heisman "system" are already too strong for Sam to overcome this season. Texas needs to finish strong this season and keep it up next season for Sam to have a chance.

Voters make “trendy” decisions. It’s almost always the “shinny new toy” that moves to the top, late in the season, and it’s been that way for a while. There are so many examples. Just a few:

Payton Manning loses to Charles Woodson, a DB, because Woodson closed the season with a flash.

Leonard Fournette entered has last season (as I recall) as a can’t miss Heisman winner. He didn’t win.

Last year Tagovailoa entered as a shoe in. He didn’t win.

If Sam has a solid year and he finishes with a flourish, he’ll be in NYC with a good chance of winning.

Whaaaat ? No way Whittington is back for OU. They said 6-8 weeks back the first week of Sept....Has it been that long ? ...What up with Collin ? He was supposed to be probable for OSU, and now he won't be ready two weeks later ? Those hams can be a *****, so not surprised if he doesn't return until bowl game. That sucks since his brother will surely get hurt again before Collin sees the field. They may not get to play together after all.
