Now if I reaaaaaaally wanted to get old school I'd post some Hank Williams. Maybe when I get back from the gym.
We can start with the obvious choice: God, that sounds so good. And then here's another that I love with Anita Carter:
If you don't love this song... I don't want to know you. This is the kind of song that you turn up the speakers to and just let your body do what it may.
Look at me, look at this car, look at the name they put on me. Also look at that girl, though I never knew a "Trixie," I never said I didn't know girls like this. Add it all up and I meet your criteria and have been known to be good dancer. Hello, I'm NBHorn7, damn glad to meet you.
Song: Contagious, maybe even addicting (if it's your style) Video: Cute, clever, fun. Quality of video: Meh. But it's how she wanted it.
Not sure about addicting but definitely contagious. This came up today - I'd forgotten about it but it was popular while I was in Germany around the turn of the century.
Never heard of Sword before, cool. Sort of a mix up of 70's meets Grunge type sound at first listen. Gonna have to check out a show of theirs sometime. Are they pretty good live? I am more a Linger person from the Cranberries though Zombie is nice with it's rougher rasp.
Are you a Concrete Blonde fan? A lot of people associate them with Joey which to me was not reflective of most of their sound. Why do I feel like I am in my living room about to put on a rain suit and moon walk across the floor to get a nail gun?
This band was stuck in my head all day. Autolux, easily one of my top five outfits from the 00's. Their sound as a whole is a wash of My Bloody Valentine, Sonic Youth (in the good moments) and Pavement, imho.
That's pretty good! I was definitely into that early 00s rock thing. The Strokes, The White Stripes, etc.
Big CB fan here. I should say I only really know two of their songs — Joey, and Caroline — but those are big favs of mine. Johnette Napolitano's voice is so dark and emotive.
