I read on another website that he is out indefinitely with an undisclosed injury ...

I did a search and cannot find any details. He is not listed on the depth chart either.

Does anyone know ? Just curious. I will hang up and listen.

Good luck Kai Locksley. I hope all goes well at JUCO and you get back to the big leagues at whatever position.

IIRC he didn't want to change positions and transferred to the JUCO referenced above.

Dude's putting up Madden type numbers in CC. Completing like 90 percent of his passes.

Iowa Western has a beautiful campus for a JUCO. Waters from KSU started there too.

"The 6’4 dual-threat completed 66.4 percent of his passes, and threw for 2,238 yards in 12 games. He also ran for 705 yards, and threw 20 touchdowns, and ran for 20 more scores."

I know he plays for a CC in Iowa, but he was individually responsible for more touchdowns (passing and rushing) than our entire offense this year (40 vs. 39).

It's tough to find recruiting info on Locksley but 247 sports only lists offers from New Mexico and UTEP.

Kai Locksley to UNM? No analogy is suitable for the irony of that. Would his father be allowed to attend games? How many more lawsuits against UNM can Mike Locksley be responsible for?

The new coach at UTEP is fromer KSU OC Dana Dimel
    Seems like a good match
Hope some of their games are on TV if he ends up there

I might have to some pinche miners games this season if he goes there. That would be pretty exciting get for that team.

I have always thought that Dana Dimel was a good coach. There were people in Laramie that didn't want him hired, always opposed him, and hindered his success - think Fred Akers.

I thought he had Third Ward on the right track, but they were so far off track that he wasn't given time to finish.

UTEP is never going to be a success. Most of UTEP's recruiting appeal was zero admission requirements other than breathing and the appeal of the party life in Juarez. Juarez is now off limits and social life for blacks in El Paso is something less than it would be at David Duke's birthday bash.

Juarez was only ever a draw for high school kids too young to get served, not college kids. It’s also not that kind of place as far as race goes. It has some tensions along race lines, but the Deep South it is not. EP is where the first all black line up won the NCAA Bb tourney almost 50 years ago and the city never blinked at that.
You are right it has its challenges though. Exactly why getting locksley would be a big deal for them.

    What makes you say that?

I do agree UTEP is a place that is hard to find success and recruit to. But if they can get similar players that K-State has, they may win some games.

He'll probably wind up at OU and be Baker Mayfield II.
