    The 80s and early 90s were fine times to be in Austin; but ooooooohhhhhhh if I could’ve been there in the 70s!

    But then again, it might have taken me a full decade to get my degree if I was there in the 70s.

    I was in college in the early to mid 70's - good times for sure. Dated some UT girls during those times but don't remember the Austin clubs we visited. Social accountability was very low in those days...:smokin:

    Maggie Mae's for sure (always ran into Jeff Ward in his camo gear there) and Boardwalk---remember that bar for the Rockets (with Hakeem, Ralph Sampson) beating the Lakers in the playoffs ('85') --damn, I'm old...

    Bee Caves Road was the original location for Soap Creek Saloon. It had several. It was on S Congress when I was at UT.
