The Montgomery County tea party in Conroe. Among celebrities (used loosely) will be Mattress Mac and Joe "the Plumber". Should be a good time amongst great Americans.
ive heard Acorn will be attending some of the tea parties by protesting the protestors. i guess they want to take a look at the people paying their bills.
NAIU, Yes, and as long as politicians from BOTH parties continue to spend and show a lack of fiscal responsibility, I believe we will continue to have them.
If you are talking about mine, the Democrats pride themselves on being for all the people. They truly despise, though, all the people who disagree with them and so ridicule them. Anyone who disagrees is an idiot, such as Joe the plumber. I don't care if you think that, just don't pretend that you (not necessarily personally but as a party) are very tolerant of people who don't think like you do. I know I'm not very tolerant.
Longhorn Cougar, I should have added this statement but didn't to my previous post. 2000-2008 in large part is what has contributed to the thought that we ought to have tea parties in the first place. It was W who gave away billions to the financial sector because some of them were 'too big to fail.' BS. W spent how much invading Iraq when we should have NEVER gone there? Then Obama comes along and continues this irresponsible spending. I believe the stimulus package was the straw that broke the camels back.... This is why.. if you read my statement.. it said BOTH parties.... perhaps you didn't realise one of the 2 parties of which I spoke was in power between 2000-2008.
I think that the spending between 2000-2008 increased at a slow enough rate that it didn't attract the rage that the "stimulus" packages did. I don't take the Tea Parties to be an endorsement of Bush's spending by any stretch of the imagination.
