ok...I realize BU is playing Buffalo and the game is a blow-out. But those stands are rediculously empty, especially as they panned back after the discussion of the new stadium under construction (and that is supposed to have a capacity of 45K- expandable to 55K).

Seems like $260M pissed away...would be different if they were filling Floyd Casey but they have the end zones blocked off because they cannot even fill what they have (which, without being blocked off, appears to be ~50K seats).

 

Nobody, apparently.

 

I believe that 8-9 years ago they signed 4 players from Temple HS

 

They came on college football radar when Turner Gill became the head coach several years ago and had some success that got him the Kansas head coaching job.

Last week #2 Ohio State-40 Buffalo-20

 

They didn't really have that much success. They went like 8-5 and won the MAC one year.

 

I agree that the fan base is woefully lacking by leaving so many seats empty.
I also saw that TCU had a bunch of empty seats
I'll bet that UTSA had more filled seats than either TCU or Baylor.

 

I thought I heard them say 44K in attendance for the UTSA game...it sounded like it and certainly looked like it from my television set...
