They will find a competent coach who can compete with the players he has available to him, a rare and inexplicable trait

I looked at one OU site which said Kingsbury is a target

    Aggie-like in its presumptiousness

Hard to see Briles going to OU with his history. Great coach, but the player crimes that he did little to nothing to police should be a DQ for any coaching job. But stranger things have happened. I could see him being hired - then the offer being rescinded after a storm of "how could you!!!".

    Duck,

I don't like Briles and have dirt on him & he knows it. That said, he was cleared of all wrong doing by the NCAA and Baylor. He did everything he was required to do by the Baylor administration. The true corruption was/is over his head. Deloss and Dr Boren knew that before the **** hit the fan in McLennan County.

The former special prosecutor running the show up there was, imo, a very special piece of work. Whatever other problems there were, he surely didn't help.

    Hook'em!

Any suggestions on how we can get OU interested in Pete Kwiatkowski? He’s shown, ahem, real promise this year.

Hey, what about Bobby Petrino to ou? He is semi-sober, tan, rested, just had a cross country motorcycle ride plus he is ready!

Perfect fit for the dirt burglars.

Petrino coaching & developing Ewers? What a nightmare. They might hang a full hundred on us. Petrino is a good guy and a great QB coach.

OU has their future VY. Ewers isn't going there. Texas is the most logical team, but we will see. First he has to get into the portal before Sark can make contact. The intriguing one is Rattler. Would he go across the red river just to prove OU wrong. Sark could probably do a lot for that kid. He still has tons of talent. Doubt he'd follow Riley to USC after getting benched.

I view Rattler as another coming of Jeff George and/or Rhett Bomar. I don't know the kid's parents, so that is not a fair comparison. I have been totally unimpressed with him, and would hope he considers an Arizona school of maybe Utah State.

Riley could not develop Rattler. I don not think Sark is better at developing QBs than Riley.

I don't think OU cares what Briles has done. I believe all they care about is winning. Just count the number of times they've been on probation for major violations.

Heupel has done a great job at Tennessee while inheriting a flaming bag of crap. He knows the culture of OU and has a similar offense. I hope he doesn’t get it but OU would be dumb not to consider him. Oh wait, sorry for the redundant statement.

He did a poor job as a coordinator here. It's hard to get out from under that.

Stoops kept him a long time. Wasn’t he “co” coordinator and a victim of Bob keeping his brother around too long as d coordinator?

Keep your eyes on Shane Beamer- he exceeded expectations this year at South Carolina and was assistant HC prior to that in Norman. He knows the program and many of the players and was well-liked.
