Strong tends to put off most of the heaviest recruiting push until after the season is over. A large percentage of his recruiting commitments the last 2 years have come late. Plus I think there are a lot of high school players waiting to make sure who the UT head coach will be next year before making a decision.
I know Charlie is a late closer. But, how about recruiting at least one top 100 national guy each month to keep our spirits up. I'don't like to see a 230 lb running back with speed to put into the que!
Herman and company hit the road last week to visit recruits and are seeing as many as they can from what I understand.
With attrition where it's at and no surprises between now and February, we only have 15 to give. Unless there's some can't-miss guy that no one else picked up on at the Division I level who is willing to take a grayshirt, we're probably not going to finish nearly as strong as the past couple seasons.
