What happened near the end of the game down in the north end zone area? The West Virginia defensive player #9 got an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty then was hauled off the field by coaches, then escorted by a coach to the dressing room. AAS did not mention the play. Anyone see what happened there? We were in the south end of the field, didn't see it. Was a punch thrown? Did he mouth off to the ref? Did he burn a couch down there?
I'm in the NEZ and didn't catch his actions but sure saw a lot of swinging. Biggest altercation I can remember in quite awhile. Wonder if that is what was reason for cold shoulder at the coaches handshake? Pretty obvious Strong got a disrespectful snub in my view. Haven't heard anything about it though.
That fool announcer commented that the Horns "needed to win with class" before it was known that it was a WV player being penalized. I was steamed!
Excellent production FS1 had there, not ever replaying the event to see why a guy was being thrown out of a game.
While we're griping about FS1, they also run as many commercials as I have ever seen and never, ever show the spot of the ball at the end of a play. Is it really that hard to understand that the fans at home want to see the result of the play?
The guy was using one of our players who I think was an offensive lineman as a punching bag as he lay on the ground. That is why he was ejected for throwing punches, that's automatic and I think he will be disqualified for WVU's next game as well. Don't know if he was prevoked or not by any of our players, but the Texas players never threw any punches or they would have been ejected too.
Can't imagine why CS would get snubbed. Didn't see that it happened but heard rumor of it. I don't think we exactly ran up the score and our last TD was pretty much given to us.
Saw on the WVU football forum that Dillon (the ejected WVU player) will not be ineligible the next game according to Big 12 officials since he was guilty of "flagrant striking" and not "fighting"....
