Women's Tennis wins National Title defeating Pepperdine 4-3 with Lulu Sun breaking through with a winner take all 6-4, (6-7), 7-5 singles match to clinch the team title.

Light it up!!

 

The most underappreciated sport.

Way to go ladies.

Winning a singles match by those scores in that situation is BIG TYMIN'....

 

Watching the ticker point by point on NCAA.COM had me pacing back and forth, tied at 6-6, with the score 40-30, and then suddenly it's 7-6, and the team score is now a 4-3 final........have to admit I scared the dog!! Lulu got some grit after losing the previous set (6-7).

Softball won their regional over the weekend.

 

Horns baseball and softball are both still in the hunt....

There's always today....

 

I was actually there in Orlando all week supporting both teams. Our seats were literally behind court 3 where Lulu was playing at. All eyes were obviously on that court. What an amazing match to win it all! So glad I was in the crowd rooting for both teams.

And now Lulu and Katie in doubles just upset the #2 seed 0, 1 yesterday! What?! Impressive!

What's also impressive is that the women's team won the championship match playing 5 Freshmen in singles!

 

We are also currently Ranked 2nd in Rowing. National meet starts Friday.

 

The upset isn't tremendously eye-opening, but 6-0, 6-1? That score sure as heck is!
