Looks like he overreved it with a good run going. Stepped up to the plate and admitted it was probably his fault that the motor went. Good for him. Too bad for JPM. Had dominant car and got caught speeding on pit road late. Cost him a probable win. JJ carries on. Mark Martin continues to amaze. "The Franchise" gets another top 10 for MWR. It's been a good year, so far.
Why do I get the feeling that although Jeff Gordon has been sitting pretty comfortably high up in the points all season, the guy won't even be sniffing the cup title when it counts? I don't know what has happened to this cat. There is no doubt that he is one of the top five drivers out there, but it appears that he is not even close to the other 4 when it comes to actually being able to win a race these days. I see gordon finishing 2nd to 3rd in points, but not even challenging the eventual cup winner.
Gordon's back is ****** up. Maybe career ending. Had he remained healthy, he would have challenged most of the records.
