I saw about the last ten minutes of the game. It was a very physical game. We made our free throws; wvu not so much. Horns are getting some good wins on the road. Congratulations Horns!!
WVU is definitely at the bottom or next to the bottom of the Big XII but that just shows how ridiculous the Big XII is this year top to bottom. They beat TCU earlier in the week and then TCU boat races KU. Iowa State went into Gallagher Iba yesterday and got beat after beating Texas and now Texas gets that Okie State team at home next after already beating them once up in Stillwater. The one thing I don't like is that the Big XII backloaded Baylor and KU into Texas' schedule along with road games to TCU and Tech. Not into conspiracy theories but the schedule does Texas no favors.
You could also say wv made their 3's, Texas not so much. The biggest difference was turnovers. Tre Mitchell 2-4 from 3. Why couldn't he shoot like that last year? I'll take any road victory in the B12, no matter how ugly.
I just can hardly believe we got any wins after Coach Terry showed up on his weekly media appearance with Craig Way having a "deer in the headlights" look. Right, @longhornlegend ?
I just understand that trying to draw a parallel between how you think a coach "looked" - and particularly a coach about whom you personally have predetermined is inadequate - and wins/losses is pretty far-fetched, if not flat out insane. In short, that was just another example of you desperately grasping at any straw to rationalize your predetermined dislike for Coach Terry. You have already been exposed for jumping to predetermined conclusions because you held the same irrational dislike of Pete Kwiatkowski, now you're drawing from the exact same playbook regarding Terry. It's very, very predictable, and somewhat sad.
I don’t care if the coach looks like Pat Riley, with slick hair and a $2,000 suit, or like some bum they dragged off the drag.
Yes you could say turnovers made the difference or you could say our defense made the difference because it caused the TO’s. Also you could say our defense caused them to shoot 38.5% while the Horns shot 47.3% which made the difference. Our guys were also very good in the paint and shooting the mid range jumper. The Horns were physical tough and smart. They simply played better than wvu. It was a good win.
