Via OrangeBloods -- Porter - slight lean to TCU Hudson - Baylor Jones - Texas Southall - Miami/OU Taylor - Texas, might go FSU if other DTs come on board McCullough - Texas D Jackson - Texas Giles - Texas Elliott - Texas Daniels - Texas Humphrey - Texas Fowler - coin flip M Jackson - coin flip
We need DCG to announce on Saturday (he is apparently considering a weekend announcement) to keep this momentum building. Help us convince some of those coin flips to go our way If the OB report is accurate it will be a very happy NSD for longhorns
** DCG is considering announcing Monday** not this weekend Still I would prefer that to NSD. Keep the ball that Cuffee started rolling
Liucci on aggy "So my understanding is we are out of it with McCulloch now since we have not heard about the in home visit The Ags went by the school but never went in-house." Ouch
Disappointed there wasn't one today. So, Thursday (Cuffee) - Saturday (LJH) - Monday (Giles?) - Wednesday announcements. We have enough announcements for 2 per day between Thurs and NSD.
It's up to them when they announce. The only two scheduled were Cuffee and LJH, before NSD. Now we may get one Monday.
He and his sister could reflect on this, as well as Jones. Maybe they could get together and watch the show Sunday on ESPN. OTL preview: Baylor victims: School didn't help enough - ESPN Video ESPN's "Journalism Showcase" - January 29, 2016 - ESPN Front Row
It shore would be nice to land some big stars! Ha... man this program needs a big day on the 3rd. It's amazing how important it has become. Recruiting is always important but given the negatives surrounding this past season and all the silent commits, it's just a real waiting game here (like waiting for the capsule to emerge from the clouds on Apollo 13) and everyone is on edge a bit with expectation. Either way, there will be cause to drink beer.
There are competing things being said about Fowler b/w us and LSU Both sides think they have him. Charlie had the last in-home, which has to be good. And he is due to talk to his dad today, since the dad was unable to be there yesterday. One potential sign of what is happening is that DE Sci Martin de-committed from TCU (or we think he did). LSU had been trying to reel him in, so this might be them moving on to another prospect. However, Alabama had also been after him lately, and even us. We will know soon enough
If ESPN is involved on announcement process you can lay odds on the kid picking an $EC team. They don't do anything outside slobbering over $EC. Did you watch the Big12 / $EC basketball games ??? Announcers didn't hide the fact they were pulling for the $EC teams. Especially the OU/LSU game...It was the worst.......I wanted to gag...Thought they were actually going to start cheering when OU missed a shot at the end, and they were all down in the dumps when it was obvious LSU was going to lose...SMH....I'll be so glad when we can knock them off their pedestal like we did USC back when.
So..... ESPN has invested heavily in the LHN. Do they not have some interest in UT's success? Beyond that, maybe (assuming what you say is true; I don't watch basketball games until March Madness) it's the reason the conference needs the affiliation with a major network that will then help with recruiting. At this point each school in the Big 12 is a stand-alone without any benefit of the whole. There needs to be some cooperation at a high level in the name of the conference.
