The Yankees seem to be on a roll right now hitting wise and that is leading them on this 6 game winning streak. A-rod has 4 HR's and 7 RBI's in last 4 games as well. I just looked up the BA's for some of their guys: .337 A-rod....14 HR's, 40 RBI's .332 Damon...33 RBI's .326 Posada .321 Matsui.....34 RBI's .282 Abreu...44 RBI's .272 Jeter...32 RBI's .263 Giambi...17 HR's, 40 RBI's Posada and A-rod don't have enough AB's yet to qualify for stats ranking but counting A-rod and leaving off Posada (due to low level of AB's) they have top 2 BA's in AL and 3 of top 6. Overall their BA is ranked #4 at .272 but in June they are #2 at .303. #1 in HIts and OBP. We know their pitching is having trouble with Jaba going thru role change and Wang out tll September and perhaps entire season, but they are really hitting the ball right now. After finishing up with SD they have Cinn and Pitt upcoming. They should be able to keep this going. Big change for a team that didn't even look like it would finish much above .500 just a few weeks ago.
this isn't news worthy. what we need to know is how many dumps jaaba chamberlain has taken in the last 2 days since that is more newsworthy than anything else in baseball.
Dang Rico you seem to be really upset with all of the Jaba talk. 7th win in a row tonight. Pitching by Jaba was a big help in this one though b/c only 2 runs.
