It would depend on what my team needs really... If I am Seattle I take Rose. Rose/Durant/Green is a pretty solid future... Of course their big man suck too, but Rose is just an absolute freak of a point guard. He has the entire package. I would love to see him finding KD on the break.
Depends on the team. Miami will need a 3/4 if Marion leaves, so Beasley makes more sense. But the thought of D-Wade and Rose in the same back court is sickening. Memphis and Seattle/OKC will probably do better with Rose. The Knicks have some talent. They will improve simply by bring in an average head coach.
DIsregarding team needs, I'd take Rose in a heartbeat. I think Beasley is a head case waiting to happen. I hope I'm wrong, because he's a helluva lot of fun to watch.
whoever it was that was arguing fiercely that Rose would go below Augustin a few months ago. needs to come eat some crow.
if you are starting a team from scratch (no positional needs) i think Rose is the #1 choice. I hope seattle/KC gets a top 2-3 pick so Durant can get Rose. that had the beginning of a great team. especially if Green continues to mature.
PG > PF Rose all the way. And I truly think Beasley will be on Carmelo's level in the NBA. But a big PG that has been able to discipline a team that historically has had little to no discipline? Yes please
Good/great forwards are a dime a dozen in the league. If you have a chance to take a great PG or Center you take them! Rose for sure.
I take Beasley every time. Cut-off penetration and Rose's effectiveness is tremendously limited. Pre-Zone D I would take Rose, but Beasley is a Beast and can be productive no matter what. A good PG has always been overvalued in the NBA. Guards win in the NCAA and Big Men win NBA championships!
