I have been to a UT road game at every Big 12 campus. For KU and OU it was basketball-only; didn't really want to go to KU for a football game and we play in Dallas for OU so I went for the UT basketball game at OU last spring. For the rest, football of course. So after my Big 12 tour stop has been completed, I would have to put Nebraska & Oklahoma State as my favorite tour stops. If I had to pick one, I guess I had more fun at Nebraska. And the bars along their main street were a blast. But I have been to Stillwater 2 times and have had a blast at both games. Worst are Baylor and Iowa State.
Lincoln easily. I always enjoy Stillwater as well. Lots of Sooner hatred to drink to. Boulder was beautiful the last time we played up there. Hell, I even like Columbia. Waco, Lawrence and Ames are my least favorite.
I like Stillwater. Wife and I take the back way (= not 35) to get there. Decent country side. oSu fans are pretty decent since we share a hate of a things OU. Went to Eskimo Joes last time. It was decent.
After going to Manhattan last year, that place is defintely on the bottom of the list. I liked Columbia as well.
I'll have to try Columbia again. I went in 2005 and I thought it was amazingly generic and boring. And the worst/"best" smack talk we heard all Friday night was "You guys aren't going to cover the spread tomorrow". Yawn.
I had a great time at KU but we went for basketball. People were buying us pitchers left & right at the bars we went to before the game. We ended up meeting up with some KU alums that took us bar hopping after we got our asses handed to us at the game (2 years ago).
Lincoln is my favorite, but I still have a few stops to make before I can speak to all of them. Would like to check out Boulder.
UNL. chix there hang all over any guy wearing burnt orange. their fans are kcik *** too. I'd like to go to manhattan for the rematch up there next time, and probably get arrested. that, and I could lose my cell phone riding in a dryer at a laundromat again.
i say boulder easily. and i always have a good time in lubbock. something about being able to see the horizon no matter where you are, and admiring the amount of dust that lands on your boots in just a short walk from the car to the stadium.
