26 years in Austin and i've never noticed if the tree is illuminated throughout the night or do they turn it off at a certain time?
iirc, it stays on all night. BUT the park closes at 10. Being in the park after 10 is a class C misdemeanor. You will be ticketed.
thanks, mishatx. i wonder just how strict the park police are in regards to someone spinning under the tree at 2am, as opposed to suspicious persons in the darker areas of the park.
