We've had some good looks on jumps shots, but too many dumb mistakes. Joseph has made about three of them so far. That was a nice steal, followed by a horrible pass of course..
Same old Barnes tournament team. Get behind, get flustered, take bad shots, and go back to Austin. With MK next year I'm hoping our guards actually know the term "offensive threat," because we might as well play with three on offense.
I hope Tristan doesn't think that Russian is good on defense... wait until he goes to the NBA... that's why I think he might come back because he needs to develop a face the basket game....
We will wear them down in the 2nd half. 5hey are hitting everything and we are hitting nothing right now. The tables will change.
Turnovers mean losses. 9 so far. The Horns are demonstrating once again a severe lack of mental preparation. They really need to play alert the remainder of the game or they will get smoked.
Let's try some real analysis instead of knee jerk crap. Williams is 0-6 so we're playing good D on the Pac-10 Player of the Year. Most of those 3s were with a hand in the face (except the fast break set shot) so perimeter D is ok--they're hot. Offense, 9 turnovers are spread out over 7 players. Thompson is having problems with the Russian size, needs to make his moves a bit faster. Hamilton needs to step up.
i was wrong...we completely suck on offense. i have supported barnes forever, but games like this make it tough to do so. can he just not coach offense? the spacing, the motion...it's all horrible.
This is clearly a poorly coached team. Team is playing like they have never played in a big game before. Johnson just plain sucks. He seems to have packed it up weeks ago. Very frustrating team to watch.
Dodds should be embarrassed by all the bad offense comments by the media. Guess who's fault that is? Tell Barnes he has to hire an offensive coach or leave.
We've had a nice year but the problems on offense shoujld be no surprise and yet we still have arrogant defenders of Barnes in that regard. our best years under Barnes were the result of elite point guards (Ford & Augustine). Otherwise we cannot manufacture points...
I look out there and see Balbay, Hill and Johnson playing catch around the arc on one side of the court, while TT is double teamed down low and it's no wonder the offense can't do anything.
