Steve Kerr identified Texas' problems in first 5 minutes - same as Bobby Knight; no spacing on offense. They all get packed inside and are too closely bunched. Means there's lots of Defensive players too.

The final 1+ minute - I don't understand at all why Hamilton is on the bench - did he pick up a foul. WE NEED SHOOTERS and SCORERS on the FLOOR. Hamilton should play all 20 minutes of the 2nd and J'Covan should be right up there. None of this Matt Hill for Hamilton ********.

Arizona knows exactly who can shoot the ball. That's why you can't have Hill and Balbay out there at the same time. It was 5 on 3 at the end of the half.

The only players we have that can generate points anywhere on the court are Hamilton, Brown and Joseph. Tristan is a terrific post but he can't shoot the 10-15 foot jumper with enough consistency to make teams respect him in the high post. Gary Johnson can only shoot a 15 foot jumper, once he passes or dribble, it's an instant turnover. Hill, Balbay, and Wangmene are useless on the offensive end of the court.

 

Zona on fire from the 3 pt line + Texas butterfingers all around + Texas can't hit the broad side of a barn and it's surprising this is only an 11 point lead.

 

Play like that and Texas can do this.

 

Zona is taking Tristan out of the game by over-committing double teams... Luckily Hamilton is heating up...

We have missed wide open shots all year. Can't do that in the tournament. The refs have also lost control of the game. You can't run over someone setting a pick. Balbay is getting killed and Barnes finally said something.

 

The refs are starting to miss a lot of calls.
