Two reminders... - tomorrow is the beginning of the spring evaluation period that runs until last week of May. Assistant coaches will be traveling all over the country to watch prospects practice in person, check on their grades, etc. My guess is Texas coaches won't hit the road until the first week of May once they wrap up spring practice and have individual meetings with players. - the spring transfer portal opens tomorrow and will run through April 30th.
Per OTF, recent DT offer Derry Norris of Port Orange, FL will be in Austin this weekend with his father. He has been in constant communication with Coach Baker since receiving a Texas offer, and Hamilton believes Texas will try to get a summer official visit scheduled with him while he's on campus. Derry Norris, Spruce Creek, Defensive Line
IT saying DT Zion Williams of Lufkin didn't make LSU's spring game over the weekend. Zion Williams, Lufkin, Defensive Line
QB Keelon Russell on his visit to Texas this weekend (247): "Looking forward to getting an offer from them," Russell recently told Horns247. "It would probably change a lot. But I'd say that them offering me would set my standards high." Keelon Russell, Duncanville, Quarterback
Just saw where Jonah Williams is set for aggie land for their game. If we lose out on him because of how bad our baseball team is (since he is a "2 sport guy") compared to the ags that will really suck. The ags are rolling with Schlossnagle. We have 2 very weak links at Texas right now with rt and pierce. Very ready for CDC to fix both of those issues.
Hard to imagine a more loaded rb room than what we have. I see rumors of Savion Red portaling but have not seen that official. Seems like we are at least 3 deep right now on rb's. Happy to have him but doesnt seem like a need position.
OTF mentioned WR Kelshaun Johnson this morning as one to watch if he makes it to the spring game this weekend. He will be traveling with his mother. Kelshaun Johnson, Hitchcock, Wide Receiver

If he is a football player who also plays baseball, why would he go to a shitshow of a football program because the baseball team is so good? If it were me, I would love our football program and then think, wow I'll really have an opportunity for baseball playing time too because they suck.
