Who'd have ever thought we'd be 22-22 with 8 games to go? Wow. Does a recent CWS run offset missing the entire playoffs 2 of last 3 seasons? I don't see it. This program needs new energy in a bad way. Sloppy play, rookie mistakes, constant failures to convert, etc. They continue to happen each and every game with no correction. It all amounts to a detached team. Especially knowing many of the same guys were fired up and producing last season. This group checked out a long time ago. Specifically I feel they're detached from Augie. Watching us play makes me sleepy. Not only does our losing rub me wrong, it's that they don't seem to mind losing. We look like sparring partners.
