This is now part of the Hillary DNC strategy. Articles like this one (link) are now steadily dripping into the media in an effort to shape public opinion. Here are some of my thoughts.

The Republican power base, the corporate and academic elites, Obama, and also the Clintons are part of the the neo-liberal, globalist, ideology. Elements of neo-liberalism include (1)open borders, (2)opposition to a bi-polar world system, and (3)international capital mobility. Everything else; gay rights, environment, gun control, religion, etc. is window dressing as far as they are concerned and grounds for political debate.

    (1) Open borders are supported more strongly by the left in the United States and the EU in Europe. The Republican right pays lip service to border integrity, but has shown no real commitment to do anything.

    (2) The Wolfowitz doctrine is the neo-con construct that basically says no nation can be allowed to develop a potential to block or challenge the United States. At this time, Russia, China, and nations choosing not to integrate within the unipolar construct headed by the United States are considered threats. This would include Iran, North Korea, Syria, Bolivia, Venezuela, and formerly Libya; not only military threats, but security threats with respect to economy/currency/trade.

    (3) Capitalism in a debt-based system thrives on growth and expanding new markets. Privatization of state assets is desired. Businesses are now free to relocate production facilities wherever labor and taxes are most favorable. Those countries not wanting to become part of this system are targeted for regime change via political processes (education/NGOs, bribes, color revolutions) or military action.

Trump has indicated he opposes this, probably not even realizing what it is he opposes. Trump wants to (1)shut down the border, (2)open dialog and negotiate with countries outside of the unipolar sphere of influence, and (3)clamp down the reigns of capital mobility with the intent of rebuilding industry and infrastructure internally. All of these things are counter to the new world order, but have resonance with traditional culture, labor, and the lower and middle classes.

The Koch Brothers have sided with Clinton over Trump. Eric Zuesse has written an article describing this topic here. (Link).

Wikileaks has released files documenting further corruption in the DNC including a propaganda strategy to link Trump to Putin. The documents show there is much fraud and possibly illegality connected to the strategy. The DNC doesn't deny it, but instead changes the argument by accusing the Russians of hacking into their files. A similar strategy was used against Snowden when he broke regulations in order to inform the public of unconstitutional law breaking going on at the highest level. The majority of the population was willing to overlook the systemic illegality of the government but not not willing to excuse Snowden of breaking the law.

Now we are at a crossroads. Over the past few decades a globalist system has been erected and has been entrenched in both the Republican and Democrat power structures. We have two Presidential candidates. With Clinton, we have a clearly corrupt, cronyist, opportunist that is backed by Wall Street, the military, and most of corporate America. In Trump, we have a billionaire narcissist who presents a threat to the pillars of the world order establishment, and at least ostensibly represents the old order and culture. But even if Trump wins, and even if he attempts to break down the new world order, he probably doesn't have the network or power to do so.

And if you read the Zuesse article linked above, any politician choosing to work with Trump will be removed from any financial support from the power brokers.
