Wanting to put together a framable collage with 12 to 15 greatest moments in Horn football history. So what i'd like is help in selecting a few more pictures that are most representative of vintage Longhorn History. Any recomendations of players/plays/etc, that made you extra proud to be a Longhorn fan, will be much appreciated. As of now i have: Earl in action vs OU. Bobby Layne Mal Kutner over the shoulder catch. Applewhite flashing double Horns up vs anm.. Vince winning TD vs USC. Nixon presenting NC plaque to Royal in Arkansas. Mac with the NC trophy at Rose Bowl. Roy W. running with the US flag. Street/Royal vs N.D. with Cotton Bowl scoreboard. James Brown throwing "Roll Left" vs Nebraska.
Johnny Walker's TD to beat OU in '89 Stoney Clark goal line stop against OU in .... '91 i think? Not sure. Two good ones from RRS
Michigan last second field goal in Rose Bowl. Nebraska last second field goal in Big XII Championship. Case McCoy scramble to set up Tucker's game winner.
Speyer catch against UCLA Randy Peschel James Street run against Arkansas in 69 Robert Brewer QB draw against Alabama Richard Peavy hit on Marcus Dupree, which broke both their helmets & was Dupree's last play in college football. Stop on Namath Duke Carlisle interception on Don Trull I doubt there is a picture anywhere, but Robin Sendlein's plastering of Eric Dickerson in Texas Stadium was the hardest hit that classless piece of **** ever took. A thing of beauty, plus Bill Began throwing a flag for personal foul got him "retired" from the SWC.
SI cover of FB Ernie Koy - 80 yard TD run 1965 Orange Bowl #3 Texas defeats #1 Alabama and Joe Willie Namath: 21 - 17.
Noble Doss catch Street & DKR 1970 Cotton vs ND Johnny Walker's game winning TD catch vs OU 1989 There's a few for starters.
Isn't there a Bill Little photo of him celebrating near end zone after we beat laggy (again) in collie?
Yup, in the back of the end zone Bill Little waving off potential aggy INT in a tight game the Horns won. He was a reporter for the Daily Texan. Not sure about a photo but there is a video of him waving off / celebrating in that end zone that LHN has shown numerous times in the "1963" program.
