All right, buy or sell... Mapps is either our leading or second leading receiver in terms of # of catches.
Sell - maybe third leading receiver this year. B or S - Shane will be in the Heisman discussion midseason.
Sell, mainly because I think a loss to USC will probably tamper the enthusiasm a little. I think we're going to try and pound the run and that may also keep his numbers from becoming too Playstation-y. Buy or sell: Gary Johnson starts by midseason.
Sell. I think he plays plenty, but I don't think he unseats Wheeler or Malik as a starter. B/S Malik earns all conference honors. Bonus: He earns some AA honors too.
Sell - Malik is too good to replace and Johnson isn't a true Mike Buy - I'll take your entire inventory. I predict at least second team AA and likely first team B/S Okafor locks down starting RT spot in 3 games or less
Hold and sell - I have to see the light turn on first. There's no reason he shouldn't - he's being set up to succeed in this scheme. We'll find out pretty soon whether his football instincts are holding him back or if he blows up. Buy or sell: DeShawn Elliott leads the team in INTs - Bonus, gets 6.
Buy - as the team leader, selling 6. I can't think of a reason, it just seems high Buy or sell: Warren and Porter split reps all season and each get 1,000 yards (for those of you who math better than I do, that is an average of 77 yards per game for 13 games)
Sell. I still think that if Kyle Johnson stays healthy and gets reps, it's going to be hard to get him off the field. I'm thinking around a 1,100-900-700 split and I don't think Warren is the 1,100.
Sell. Shane will be very good, but too many B12 QB's ahead of him now. (see ou and osu) buy or sell: Poona Ford makes all conference D line.
Agreed. The idea that the guy's issues with drinking has to do with race is ridiculous. Personally if he can earn that first chip, it's the first step toward... Oh wait, the OTHER "AA". OK nevermind.
Chris Warren is still healthy after halftime of the San Jose State game? Buy or Sell? I'm a seller. I'm afraid this guy is cursed.
I'll buy that one. I don't see us ever playing four LBs at a time. We'll be in base nickel, and I'm not sure there's many times we'd want to go to two down linemen. I honestly wasn't thinking of GJ taking MJ's spot, as much as them finding a place on the field for him somehow, maybe even taking Hughes' spot. That depends on whether the light for him has truly turned on (they named him captain, so you'd think so!) or if he falls back into old habits and just isn't that productive.
I will actually buy that, provided they're using three or four backs through the first two games. I think Warren gets into trouble if his carries dip above 20 for a couple of weeks in a row, and same for Johnson. One of them will miss at least one game by midseason, though.
