Youve just articulated an innovative small business plan for the Mexican side of the border. You could be teaching business school

Indeed, your approach to solving problems is usually very business-like.
Which school was Econ in back then? Was it Bus School or was it a Liberal Art? Schools differ on this classification I've noticed

Still going to be quite a bit of a walk from Home Depot to where they want to put the ladder at the border. Not saying it's impossible just not likely. The success of walls around the world point to the fact that ladders are not much of a factor in defeating them.

They did that to Texas A&I and a school in Laredo too. Most of Laredo is embarrassed by it.

Yeah, on Facebook I put Mary Hardin-Baylor as my alma mater. I don't want people thinking I went to an A&M clown college. :D I did go to Mary-Hardin Baylor for one semester so I don't feel like I'm lying. l I got tired of the religious stuff being forced on me at UMHB and their business school was crapola so I left.

I forgot to add with the cost of ladders high enough to beat Trump's wall being around $200 I don't see many illegal immigrants getting one.

At this pace, construction of the wall can start 2037! Please keep the crowdfunding going. I fully support this effort.

In that case, it was a SWAG at how long it will take to raise $50B. Care to take a guess or would you rather continue sharing your holiday spirit?

so the Dem position is to denigrate the millions raised by regular citizens because the amount raised in an amazingly short time won't fund the entire wall at once.
    So pathetic.
I wonder if all those who went to the GoFund me site vote?

Who is denigrating anyone? I've stated my support for them twice on this thread which is 2x more than most.

At least have the cajones to be honest. You posted

Trying to pretend that is sincere support makes you look like Fool.

Their goal is just a billion. Dude, you called everybody who supports the wall a xenophobe and now you want to talk about the holiday spirit? You're unbelievable.

And you’re not going to raise $1 billion online. Merry Christmas.

In South Texas, where I am from, a Liberal calls a white person who favors the wall a Xenophobe; they call a Latino who favors the wall a coconut. There is nothing but insults. It is my opinion those that say these things are not noble but instead emotionally attached to anyone from anywhere who looks like them. That to me is racism at it's core; it doesn't always have to be oppression by power; it can also be exclusive loyalty to a race or culture.

I’ve talked to family who work in Silicon Valley. They don’t care about illegal migrants. However, we don’t need more low skilled labor when SV is automating manual labor. The world has changed. When will SH and others acknowledge it?

Probably not but it's a damn shame that the Democrats and RINOs in congress are such dullards. Merry Christmas.

Two thoughts on the wall. First, having a wall isn't per se bad or wasteful. Walls or fences are useful for border security in some areas. What's bad and wasteful is making the wall the centerpiece of our border security strategy. Yes, a wall can help, but with most examples of walls that "work," the wall is only part of the equation.

For example, for better or worse, the Berlin Wall worked at stopping people from illegally crossing but not by itself. If the East Germans had just built a wall, people would have used ladders and climbed across. It wouldn't have been a significant deterrent to defectors. What made it work is that there were tons of troops at the wall with orders to kill anyone who attempted to cross. I don't see the US doing that. We just aren't that tough on non-violent lawbreakers.

Second, why are we having a GoFundMe and facing a government shutdown over something that Mexico is supposed to be paying for? Where is the Mexican money, and if there's going to be a GoFundMe, shouldn't it be in Spanish and marketed to Mexicans? Why are a bunch of white people in the US being asked to donate?

Manufacturing Jobs Up 32,000 in December, 491,000 Under Trump

    The 14th record under Trump
156,945,000: 2018 Ends With Record Employment; Participation Rate Hits Trump-Era High

" .... In another positive sign, the labor force participation rate increased two-tenths of a point to 63.1 percent, the highest it's been since Trump took office.

In December, the nation’s civilian noninstitutionalized population, consisting of all people age 16 or older who were not in the military or an institution, reached 258,888,000. Of those, 163,240,000 participated in the labor force by either holding a job or actively seeking one.

The 163,240,000 who participated in the labor force equaled 63.1 percent of the 258,888,000 civilian noninstitutionalized population. The participation rate has showed little change since Trump took office. The highest it's ever been is 67.3 percent in the year 2000...."
