a couple of bills have been filled for the 2021 session.............will they legalize smoking dope? Texas Lawmakers Seek to Legalize Marijuana this Session | KPRC AM 950 | Walton And Johnson
I hope not. Then every CBD oil store in every mall will start selling it. It will be every where. Besides, kids don't seem to have any trouble getting it right now.
As long as it's in your own home and I'm not smelling it nor dealing with you on the road, I don't care. We have so many better things for the cops and justice system to be doing.
Curious to see how Texas implements it. In Washington State it's treated like a combination of alcohol and cigarettes. You can't smoke it in public but that doesn't stop you from smelling it walking around in urban areas. It has an alcohol DUI equivalent for driving under the influence. It's sold in tightly regulated stores here with rules like distance from schools. Overall, I don't partake and it doesn't bother me, though I voted against it. It has generated obscene amounts of tax revenues that have resulted in the State having a $3B reserve fund. Our teachers statewide also received significant raises based on that revenue. The tax on marijuana sales is ~40%.
Curious here on how they test for DUI? Do they lock up on suspicion while the run blood or urine samples in lab?
