Trump wasn't the first speaker. There was a cavalcade of speakers inciting the riot. Heck Rep Mo Brooks who was in the Capitol Building at 1pm spoke earlier in the morning. They spent hours lathering them up.

I was responding to Crockett. Are you one and the same under different poster names?

No, he's smarter and more moderate than me. I didn't know that we had to limit our inquiries and responses. Cool. Please alert your herd. :)

But you inferred about the WSJ? Strange. I think you stumbled into the wrong trailer at the trailer park.

OUBubba was clearly trying to find some common ground with the WSJ.

All media has bias. There are levels of bias though. The blogosphere is pure 100% news to suit a narrative. That goes for the Right (Gateway Pundit, RedState, Brietbart, Daily Caller, Townhall etc) and the Left (DailyBeast, Motherjones, Slate, etc.). There are pure propaganda sites like Zerohedge, Infowars and Epochtimes. Local/Regional newspapers have bias but seem to be the least biased for our time, due in part because their business model forces them to sell to a limited audience of liberals and conservatives. I too respect the WSJ. It's still the best financial paper. It's editorial staff is a bit radical but it's opinion, not news.

The problem with media as I see it has been the blending of editorial and news. Newspapers still do the best job at keeping these sections, and staff, separate.

Trump said to go in peace and now it look like the timeline is too screwed up for this to be Trump's fault. The fact that these terrorists brought explosives tells you this was preplanned and nothing to do with the speakers. It's not like they heard the speeches and decided to go get the explosives there and then. WTF has happened to common sense in this country?

That was why I asked for an unbiased source. Even small town papers get their state and national stories from larger - more biased sources. I do enjoy reading the local paper if only for the local stories. The big 3, CNN and MSNBC are all far left bias and Fox, OAN and NewsMax are far right in my view. There simply isn’t an unbiased source for news these days.

The timeline didn't start at 1pm on 1/6/21. The seminal moment that led up to 1/6 started with the election fraud claims in August and the lies continue to exist today based on Axios reporting of Trump's call with McCarthy.

I'm not sure I'd equivocate OAN and Newsmax with the other 3 but I agree. Sadly, there is apparently no money to be made in by trying to hue as closely to the facts as possible. That's why I support NPR over any other national new source. They are center-left primarily in what they choose to cover but overall they as close as you'll find to fact-based without editorial for their news coverage.

Everything Trump said was "totally appropriate" and apparently "people" and "everyone" has analyzed it and they all agree with him.

Oh, and the most prescient problem in our country is the impeachment, not the thousands who assaulted the Capitol Building, chanted "Hang Mike Pence" and brought with them a homemade gallows nor continue to pose a serious threat to State Capitals per an FBI alert yesterday. He is unfit to lead. His enablers are still enabling.

I agree. Far right was not correct, but they are right with a slow move to the left. Some of their most prominent anchors are flaming liberal.

And he won't be in 8 days - what a waste of time and money all the impeachment bologna. Get on with the Biden agenda - good or bad. And charge those guilty of breaking the law, and QUIT the catch and release in Portland and Seattle. Let's regain control here.

So I just read Trump's speech on Jan 6th. I'm not sure what part the MSM and Dems are saying was inciteful. He specifically told the crowd to be peaceful. I will say that Trump should have accepted the results of the election after he lost his final appeal, but to say he incited the riots is quite a stretch.

So, now DJT is so toxic that Bill Bellichek is declining an award.

Nothing Trump said or did was wrong yet good people are saying the opposite. Belichick has apparently joined the deep state, liberal mob, whatever other cute name someone wants to come up with for those that believe their own eyes and ears.

This was not lead by antifa, but I think there were some nefarious characters that were not necessarily Trump people helping instigate. I read today that the Horn guy is not eating while in jail because the food is not organic. He has also been spotted at other BLM rallies. Doesn't sound like a Trumper.

It looks far right from where I sit, but from the perspective of a divine rights monarchist it would be radically left wing.

Well SH, I have to confess I do believe my own eyes and ears. And I confess ignorance regarding Belichick’s statement. Not sure exactly what he’s wanting to say, sounded like he was being very careful to me.

Belichek believes in social justice which is defined as legal discrimination against whites. He can't be for that and freedom and traditional American values. I think he is just going along so he won't be criticized.

I could be wrong, but Belichek doesn't seem like the type of guy who stays up at night worried about what people think of him.

He's probably just tired of the Trump clown show.
